Gold Rush Days... 4 months late

In May we had Gold Rush Days. A city wide event that centers around pioneers and some of the history around Sidney, NE. There is live music, amazing food, pioneer villages and very cute craft booths. It is a lot of fun and a great way for the community to come together.

This year, it was SO hot! In the upper 90s. And Spencer was only a month and 1/2 old. So, we didn't stay very long. The parts we did participate in were amazing, however. We had barbecue (what else would you eat at Gold Rush Days) and bought some amazing homemade jam from one of the booths. The pioneer village featured 3 booths from our ward. A cowboy hat toss booth, a family history booth, and a candle dipping booth. So much fun! The kids loved the booths, and the family history booth was a great place for missionary moments. Hopefully next year's event will be just as successful- and a lot less hot!
